“30 Thousand Feet in the Air, Stewardess Complimenting me on my Nappy Hair”- an Edible Timeline

I have a mixed relationship with edibles. On the one hand, they are discrete, long lasting and health wise, probably better than smoking. However, if you don’t dose properly, you could end up high for two weeks straight. Furthermore, the munchies are much more intense compared to regular consumption. I have eaten $30 worth of groceries in one sitting because I was so high I thought I seent Jesus.
Even tougher to gauge are homemade edibles, those are very tricky. You are at the whim of the quality of the bud used, how much you eat, and how competent the chef is. The universal rule of thumb is to start small, wait 30–45 mins and eat more if you still don’t feel anything. At the point in my edible journey, I’m so deep in the game that I can eat half of pretty much anything and be good. I shouldn’t have any freakout’s, crazy feelings, seeing spaceships on Bankhead, nothing like that. Now anything past that I would start to see ghouls and goblins. But at half, I should be ok.
I always compare the edible timeline to boarding a flight. Comparing it to regular smoking does not do it justice.
On MARTA headed to Hartsfield (0–10 mins) — Post first bite. Not high yet, but are on your way. Maybe a slight tingle, but most folks don’t feel too much this early on.
